Bus' SurpriseWhatever happened to the surprise you had in store for us, is it still in the works?
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
Re: Bus' Surprise
He needs his grades from this semester to be eligible, so no one will know until summer. You are all sheep.
Waaaass uuppp Prof? I hope your project is working well and that you are free later this spring.
Now, as far as I here, you are correct about the grades. Things are going well but you never know about these things. Go Mustangs Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Enough alreadyWhy don't you just post what you know and stop with all the games??
Dear Stein:
If I knew the name I would not have posted it out of respect for the source. From what I hear we are still GO to get a surprise. I hope it happens.. Don't you!!! Relax, go for a walk or have a drink. We will all know at the same time - Hope Hope Hope Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
What concerns me about this surprise is the fact that we are having to worry about his grades as to whether he gets in or not. If we are worrying about him getting in, how tough will it be for him to stay in? I have heard reports that we are going to need those new coaches degrees to keep some of the players we have now eligible.

it seems likely to me that we are waiting on a Junior College Transfer who must graduate and receive his JC degree until SMU will agree to admit him. Many JC transfers commit to schools with the understanding that they will be admitted upon graduation-obviously SMU doesn't want to make that commitment until he actually does. So I guess you'll just have to wait until graduation day.
Stallion, you seem to be a close observer of the recruiting game - I figured you already know who is being talked about here.
Waiting game contines, I guess.
Oh I've got a good idea but the Texas Junior College scene is the Bermuda triangle of the recruiting world-there is no resident expert that really covers it like they do in California, the West and even Kansas/Missouri where most of the good ones come from. Rivals does shoddy work on JC football especially Texas-the Insiders does a slightly better job from what I can tell but again very little Texas coverage. One major reason that Texas JC recruiting is neglected is that for years there was an additional graduation requirement imposed by the state of Texas that made most top JC recruits go out of state-not sure if that is still in effect or the significance may have been lessened in recent years due to NCAA transfer rules. I want to say they required a recruit to complete a higer number of classes before receiving a degree or something-but I believe NCAA rules allow a recruit to transfer at anytime if he was a full qualifier out of high school. Theoretically a kid could still be a decent student even if he wasn't a full qualifier out of high school if he was tripped up by bad curriculm advice out of high school on his core requirements or he had problem passing one of the 15-17 core classes. I've seen kids with reported GPAs in the 3.5 range who were non-qualifiers out of high school especially from the inner city schools.
