I read in today's Austin paper that Chase Pittman, a sophmore-to-be defensive lineman at UT, is going to transfer. The article said Pittman finished spring workout as the second-team defensive end. Cole Pittman, his older brother, also played at UT and was killed in a car accident several years ago. I believe he attended that private high school in Shreveport that turns out several Division I prospects each year.

You know one MAY be a surprise and I would much rather have this guy than another QB. No malice intended.

I saw this note in the DMN, too, and started to wonder. I know Coach Bennett has said he wants to expand his recruiting target area to include northern Louisiana - I'd think this would be a great way to break in to the area, since there's a ton of talent in the northern Louisiana area.

As for the other remaining scholarship (assuming BUS's count of 2 is accurate) .... is Kenton Thornton still out there?
