Jeffrey M’ba 6’6” 300 lb. DL from Purdue - signed with SMU

Several sources are predicting that Purdue defensive tackle Jeffrey M'Ba is "expected to transfer" to SMU ... and there might be some validity to those predictions: an announcement from him has not turned up yet, but he does list SMU now in his Twitter bio.

If true, he is a big addition — literally: he measures 6-6 and was listed at 302 on Purdue's website.

He played two years at Purdue after one season at Auburn, which came after two seasons at Independence (Kansas) Community College. Originally from Libreville, Gabon, his family moved to France, where he started playing football five years ago.

He had 24 tackles in 11 games in 2023 for the Boilermakers.

Hopefully both M'ba and Damarjhe Lewis are coming from Purdue and the latter can get healthy so both guys can contribute in the 2 deep. We saw this year how important it is to have a solid 2 deep on both lines and as they say, you can't coach size. Both of these Purdue DTs have size and hopefully will be out to prove themselves after playing on a 1-11 Purdue team this year
