If this deal happens today this will really put us a leg up in recruiting. Ike was a qualifier coming out of San Antonio Taft and has turned into a really nice player and would offer immediate help and depth in an area where we need it.
We tried to recruit his brother who is now at Tech but it just didn't work out.
Go Jimmy and Robert!

BTW he was the Freshman of the Year of the smaller JC conference he played in at Hill JC-they play teams like Collin County JC. He was about the No 62 player in the State of Texas as a senior but I think was about second team all state. He was listed as 6-7 then but today I noticed he was listed at 6-9-that makes a pretty big difference if legit.

I read his bio on the Texas Tech website, and it said he averaged 13 points or so as a high school senior. Was he relatively new to the game? Did he play on a team with other potent scorers, limiting his shots? I would think a guy of that size would have put up bigger numbers in high school. Or is there something I'm missing here?

Your looking at his brother's bio, John. He is still at Tech as far as I know.
We are getting Ike.

The clarification is much appreciated. I was assuming it was pronounced "oh-FOAG-boo."
