Saw on Rivals that SMU's after a power forward from Houston (Westbury Christian): Jeremy Barr. Says he's 6-foot-9, 250 pounds and is ranked 37th in the nation (at his position, I assume). Should be a tough guy to get, though, since he's also considering Marquette, Miami (Fla.), Michigan State, Arizona, Houston, Kentucky, Missouri, UNC, Oklahoma, A&M (???) and Texas Tech.
I don't subscribe to recruiting services, so I don't know any stats on him. Anyone know how productive the guy is?

Barr averaged about 15 points a game lasst year, but he did it on a team with a loaded frontcourt that has at least 3 other D1 prospects. Its hard to compare him to other prospects based just on his stats, because his team was pretty balanced.

Physically, Barr is a monster, a real man child who may still be growing. Basketball wise he still has alot to learn. He has only lived in the US for a few years, and only recently took up basketball. Most schools recruiting him see a tremendous upside in his physical ability, but a good program would probably redshirt him his first year.

SMU has offered scholarships to him and the 2 other players in Westbury's frontcourt, but none of them are particularly leaning this way. Barr may be recruited by some of the top programs if he has a good summer.
You are all sheep.

Heard there's a "near-7-footer" showing serious interest in us, but haven't found a name yet. And supposedly he's not a Shawn Bradley/Gheorge Muresan-type of stiff - a legit (if not great) player. I wonder if this is the guy?
