Found this on Insiders:

With so many strong prospects at the linebacker position in Oklahoma this fall, it is a guarantee that one or two will slip under the cracks. One prospect beginning to build a name for himself as a legitimate division one prospect is McCoy Campbell.

"I received calls from Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa State, Tulsa, and SMU," said Campbell. "Missouri stopped by my school, and so did New Mexico State. I attend Kansas State's camp, and I'll be camping at Tulsa on July 24th. I'm also going to try and make it down to SMU for a visit."

What was the majority of feedback he heard from coaches during their conversations?

"All of them told me they were impressed with my junior film and would be watching me throughout my senior season. I'd say right now the teams showing me the most interest are Kansas State, Iowa State, Tulsa, and SMU. I think I have a shot of being offered when I attend Tulsa's camp."

How was his experience at Kansas State's camp?

"I attended their camp in Wichita, and I really liked Coach (Greg) Peterson. I measured in at 6'3 225 and ran a 4.65. They told me they were real impressed with my performance, and would be keeping in touch with me."

Campbell also received a letter from the Iowa State Cyclones today that offered encouraging news.

"They told me they finally were able to watch my junior film, and were impressed. They said they'd like me to come up to one of their games this fall. Coach (Barney) Cotton called me during May and told me he liked my versatility and said he could see me playing more than one position on their defense."

Coach's Comments: "McCoy is the first player I've had in 27 years that can actually gain weight during basketball season," said Head Coach Ron Smith. "He is mean and nasty, and has a true defensive mentality. I've coached 64 D1 players, and McCoy will get many offers."

Prospect's Comments: "I have the ability to run sideline to sideline. I'm not limited in only being able to make a play on one side of the field, and I have the versatility to play other positions as well."

I don't know where Owasso is, or what kind of competition they play, but that's pretty good size for a LB in 11th grade. Maybe he will grow into a DE -- which makes his coach's "nasty" description even more appealing. Go get him!

If he can bulk up by another 20-30 pounds and maintain that speed, maybe you're staring at a nice DE prospect.

Sounds like Cory Muse coming out of high school. If early indications (by Muse) are indicative of what's to come, grab ever Muse clone you can.
