I'm not that familiar with Wake's squad but they finished 121 in the last RPI and they've only got one 4-star recruit in the 2014 class, so I can't see them being that improved. If we schedule ACC teams let's jump in the deep end - UNC, Virginia again, NC St which we are, Cuse, Duke, or Maryland.....
This game would not be about RPI. It would run much deeper than that.

Home and homes against:
Wake Forest NC State Nebraska BYU
Let's see them deny our SOS argument when we sweep them all.

haha that would be pretty funny. Throw in UMASS as well. 6 seed in their conference tourney and SOMEHOW got a 6 seed in the dance….not talked about enough. They beat Rhode Island by 4 a week ago. We beat them by 31. shame.

I don't like the idea of playing games because vendettas. If we lose, then we only validate what they did. I'd rather win next year, make noise in the tournament, then go egg the [deleted] out of his house.

the reason to play wake is just because we need an easy win from a team in a good conference. My guess they will be RPI about 120 - which is perfect for us.

At Wake isn't just an easy win, ask Duke. If they can attach some story line to it like us being out for blood, you put yourself in an unnecessarily emotion filled environment. Give us some other team of the same caliber or better in a power conference instead.

I've seen a game at Wake, It is far from a pit - easiest place to play in NC for sure.

I'd like to see 5 OOC games against P5 teams- one from each conference- start getting the word out about this squad nationally.
Arkansas, Indiana, and NC State are already scheduled. Let's get a Pac-12 and Big 12 team on the schedule now.
Big 12- no Texas teams will play us apparently, and LB won't schedule KU. How about KSU, Oklahoma, OSU or Iowa State ?
Pac-12- don't care, let's play whoever

No disrespect but this a dumb poll.
SMU will be glad to play anyone that the majority of college basketball fans have heard of and is relevant.

It's not a dumb poll. He did not preclude SMU from scheduling other teams as well but there would be a high level of interest in this game and you would have to be dumb not to realize that.

My two cents... The pain of the snub perpetrated by their [Gary Patterson] Clown AD, amongst others, is still too fresh in my mind. I don't want anything to do with them.
