-Doesn't know if the team is up for tomorrow……June and RGT came by practice to talk about disappointments and how to deal with them. Fran Franschilla even spoke to them. A lot of teams are excited about NIT, a lot aren't. Hopeful for the seniors that we show up and compete. Cal Irvine has to be disappointed…
-We didn't act right against Lville, showed no character. Acted immaturely against Houston. No one to blame but ourselves. Only ranked team since 04 to not make it. Lunardi had 67/68, we had no rep on the committee. Didn't have hope when he saw the poor seeding for AAC
-Feels awful for the fans. Feels great for our program. Can't wait to see what seed we have next year
-A lot of his friends that are coaches told him the first NIT game is the hardest to coach after not making tourney
-Did anyone call to explain the reasoning, etc of missing tourney? --No one called except friends
-Can you imagine having this big party and then everyone is all of a sudden gone..?
-Was real down, but have to learn from it and fight through it. Wanted the kids to understand their is no shame to being disappointed. At the end of the day, they put it in the committee's hands, which was silly. Had he known how high the pac 12 or big east was rated, he wouldn't have done that.
-Didn't take into consideration of Garland, at Wyoming. Didn't know Rhode I. would be bad, TCU, A&M…we had Virginia beat.
-They can say Wich. St didn't play in a good conference…we don't know what their criteria is….would they seed KU low because of Embid…we don't know
-Excited about the game tomorrow. The center is enormous.
-12 teams better than Lville? NO way, especially the way they are playing right now. Rick's teams are always ready. Their SR class is the winningest team in Lville history. 12 teams aren't better than Mich St either…I can't imagine
- He will be on the Katy Trail..haha
