Reggie Rankin: I think the SMU Mustangs could be a Giant Killer next season. They will be hungry and motivated from not making the NCAA field this year, and Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown has turned a down-and-out program and its recruiting around in a very short period of time. Next season, SMU will add five-star point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, who will be one of the toughest guard matchups in the country because of his talent, size and playmaking ability. Combine Mudiay with SMU returning its most productive players from this season, and 2014-15 has the makings of a special season for the Mustangs.

We should start the season in the top 25 and if we get some other marquee recruit(s) we could start in the top 15.
