Smu had a better tv contract than most big12 schools not named Kansas.

playing on that big 12 regional network is junk, not national at all.

Big 12 games are transmitted in Fox Sports. Big 12's contract pays them $200 Million a year compared to $120 Million for 6-7 years for the AAC.

Their contract is WAAY BETTER than what ours will ever be. TV contracts draw the line between BCS and Non-BCS.

I didn't check your numbers, so we'll assume they're correct and the Big 12 kills us financially (which is almost certain, even if your exact numbers are wrong), but accessibility-wise there was no conference that was easier for me to watch this year than the AAC. And I have only the most basic cable package possible (and a stellar internet connection).

Now that I think about it though, the Big 12 was probably the second easiest to find.

I tend to see UT, Baylor, and OSU all the time on ESPN.

How is their package difficult?

The problem for us is we play on ESPNU...which most people never turn to

I did say I found their games the second easiest to find. Just my experience browsing games this year. I may be an outlier because I always turn to ESPNU, since I know there's a good chance I'll find college basketball and not some useless off-season NFL coverage that seems to be on ESPN constantly.

our games against UConn, Memphis, Cincy & Temple may get time on ESPN or ESPN2 next season. NIT will do wonders for our ratings, not to mention a higher ranking next season

Does anyone know what kind of ratings we have gotten so far in the NIT?

I have to think last night would be one of the most watched games of the season!
