Off Season Transfers in The American

Postby max the wonder dog » Fri Apr 04, 2014 11:14 am

The Memphis Tigers beat reporter for the local paper is reporting on players from The American who have announced plans to transfer. The story is behind a pay wall, but here are the names.

One is no surprise, Josh Heath, who’s Dad was fired from USF, has received his release.

Three juniors from Rutgers: Craig Brown, D’Von Campbell & Jerome Seagears.

Kevin Ware, a Louisville junior who had injury issues this season.

Anthony Lee, a junior graduating from Temple who will play next year at Ohio State.

Josh Heath, no impact.
At this point, Rutgers, who cares, same with Louisville.
Anthony Lee, dk if that is a big deal with where they are in their program and who is coming in.

I'm more interested in guys transferring IN.

What does Cincy, UConn, and Memphis look like? (I think Memphis will be better than others given they have a stud McDAA guard that didn't play much as a freshman and then that other tall white kid will be better - but I don't know who else they are getting from Juco, etc).

Have no idea about Cincy or UConn other than they are graduating their best players (and Boatright and their 7 footer freshman who improved quite a bit over the year is back for UConn).

Anyone have any details? I know it's a little early still.

Ware and Chane Behannen just got caught smoking the wacky tobacky again....IN LOUISVILLE. And Behannen was supposed to be in class at Colorado State not wake and baking in Louisville. Less time soliciting BJ's and coaching his son's team and more time recruiting quality student athletes?

Was a joke at the Final Four last year. Every time they showed him on the jumotron, my friends and I would ask why they kept showing him. L'ville people thought we were idiots until the 10th time we asked and they realized we were joking.

Kinda like the Clemson fans behind us on Tuesday night. They have this cheer where their band plays and they spell out C-L-E-M-S-O....
then there is this long pause before the N.

We had alot of fun with that. Among our responses in the long pause before the "N"...

1) making a whispering motion and telling them "N"
2) trying to get all the way up to N in the alphabet during the pause.
3) searching all our pockets frantically and pulling out a piece of paper, looking at it and yelling "N"
4) Telling them they needed a simpler cheer and suggesting they join us in S-M-U.
