SMU
Losing elite recruit Emmanuel Mudiay hurts, but Larry Brown's roster is still strong enough to compete for an AAC title.

Connecticut
Kevin Ollie, Ryan Boatright and the Huskies face a tough test to repeat as national champions. They'll count nightly on tough interior defense from sophomore center Amidah Brimah.

Gonzaga
The Zags, featuring several returning starters as well as top transfers and highly touted freshmen, are the WCC's top team.

Michigan
Though Big Ten Player of the Year Nik Stauskas left for the NBA, the Wolverines still have enough talent to compete for a Big Ten title.

Texas
Rick Barnes' team is a legitimate Big 12 title contender with the addition of prized recruit Myles Turner.
