Mens Pocket ScheduleI know most of you don't care, and I really don't either...but looking at our pocket schedule, it's got B-Hop in the middle, with devon pearson, derrick roberts, and Ryan Hopkins surrounding B-Hop. I like Ryan a lot, but especially for promoting the team, shouldn't Dez Willingham be on it instead of R-Hop??? Even though R-Hop is a senior, is he realistically going to get anything but garbage time?
yea this is irrelevant but whatever. i remem somebody sayin something on pfans a while ago that ryan was really improved and looked great...could this equate to more playin time, dont know. hope so tho, id like to see him get of his brothers shadow and put some points up for the stangs during the season. hopefully we win these garbage non-conf games, arkansas tech? lets get the margin up tomorrow night
If the first exhibition game was any indication, he must not have improved enough to impress Tubbs. Ryan was the last one off the bench with a just a couple of minutes to go in an exhibition game. He was the only one not to see playing time until the very end of the game.
Will have to see if he gets any more playing time tonight. He did elevate very nicely and get a tip in basket in the OBU game. I would personally like to see him get some more playing time this year, especially if we have a decent team and are in most of our games. Nice to have a senior on the court when the starters need a blow. I would take that, even if he has little game experience, over a walkon freshmen being on the court during those thin times when you need to look down the bench for a couple of minutes PT from someone.
Just to play devils advocate, wouldn't you rather have your younger players getting experience that a senior who may not contribute any meaningful minutes?

Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
If a game is out of reach or our season goes in the tank, then Yes, I would agree to get experience for the future players. However, if we stay competitive all year in most of our games and win our share, I would like the players on the court that give us the best chance to win, that is where a mature and physically stronger senior could possibly fill the "desperation" minutes roll better than a youngster.
