I think Cannan assumed he would be fouled. Check out the play a few times. He hesitates as waiting for the foul, then tosses the ball. I don't think Manuel was ever expecting a pass.

That entire deal is on Larry. You call a time out before, get your team settled and make sure nic gets the ball. He then dribbles with 20 seconds left until fouled. Game over.

Very disappointing. We chose the wrong time to have one of worst games of the year.

Up until they went on a 19-0 binge, the Mustangs seemed to be sleep walking with very
little energy and for the most part, taking very bad shots.

Nic almost pulled it out for us and had a good game (not excellent) and Kennedy had
a fairly good game, but the rest of the team really hurt us. Too bad Yanick and Cannen
had to go out in the form of goats. No doubt the bad pass by Cannen cost us the game, and
if that wasn't enough, the goal tending call doomed us. Even then, Cool Hand Nic had a
chance to win it and couldn't get it done.

The bottom line is that our 3 seniors cost us the game. I feel bad for them and for the
Stangs. On the bright side - this year has been great fun. I will miss seeing this team play.
Thanks Larry and thanks to these players.

I think Larry at 74 and being that sick can not be under-estimated how much it affected this game.

SMU is an expert at being the one-percenter unfortunately.

No excuse for the bad pass but I'd like to know what Larry draws up in that situation. Why would you want your big guy throwing a pass along the baseline either. I think canaan was throwing to a spot that Manual probably should have been. Manual was streaking away from the passer- a big man-with the ball

We run it that way every single time, except normally MK is in the CC spot. the player on the top keeps running across so that the big on the sideline has room to dribble to safety and cross the 10 second line. CC on that play has to make the initial pass to RM that he hesitated on, OR hold the ball and wait to get fouled, or dribble in the space behind RM's run to bring the ball up, or wait for the double to come off of one of the other players and give the ball to the open man to bring up. We never make the pass to the guard running across (RM) in that situation. Never. We always hold the ball and wait for the foul or a double. CC reacted to the crowd, who saw the initial pass available, and made it late.

On Larry not calling timeout, he's done it all year. For the most part, I think it's been a blessing - it's forced the team to figure things out for themselves and not panic when the other team is on a run. Phil Jackson did it all the time with the Bulls. Hurt us here, though

We had the shots to win, didn't make them. We had the whole first half to pull our head out, didn't do it. It's on everyone like all losses.

Goaltending call was still horrible though.

Mental errors killed the team at the end of the game.

But it all began with Nic Moore with the ball, a 2 pt lead and 29 seconds to go. He started the play perfectly holding on to the ball, but instead of keeping it and forcing UCLA to foul him, he gives it to Kennedy who promptly takes a jump shot and misses it. That's where the game was lost.

That was huge and had me screaming at my TV. THAT was actually part one of the four part harmony that ended in disaster. Nic drives to the hoop, either makes it, gets fouled or at the very worst gets blocked and they get the ball.

Part Two: Cannen. Duuude....hold the ball. Thet WILL foul you.

Part Three: the Call.

Part Four: Nic misses two good looks.

What are the chances of all of this happening?

Un- f### ing believable.
