Texas swingman transferring

Texas guard/forward Jordan Barnett — a sophomore at UT who was the No. 86 overall prospect in the country two years ago coming out of Christian Brothers College High School — told the Longhorns' coaching staff Tuesday that he intends to transfer, according to Horns Illustrated magazine.

No word on which schools he might be considering.

Barnett has averaged six minutes in four appearances this season, going 4-of-7 (.571) from the floor. He has hit two of four three-point attempts, and three of four free throws. He also has 10 rebounds and three steals.
