If you want to see teams applaud their fans, go to the soccer games.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Before the game --> Show some mutual respect.
After the game --> Show some mutual respect.
During the game, from tip-off to buzzer --> Get Rowdy. Have Fun. Get Loud. Be Clever. STAY LOUD. Change up the clever. Do everything possible to distract the other team, get under their skin, into their head and get them off their game. But don't do anything to get ejected or that hurts the team.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
