HS Tournaments this week

Postby FriscoPMG » Tue Dec 27, 2005 5:50 pm

There are some lovely high school basketball tournaments going on this week throughout the DFW area. Unfortunately, none of the top talent will be headed to SMU next year.

FriscoPMG thanks for the knowledge. Thanks for the proof that we can't keep Dallas recruits despite Dallas area coaches getting the man they wanted. TCU is currently 3-8, and they have nabbed a guy, Auburn and Colorado are out of state, and are traditionally NIT bound at best (Patton in Boulder is rumoured to be on ropes despite his teams gaudy 8-1, 33 RPI, because of new AD and has only big dancing 2 of the last 8 years, wow we would take that anyday) and still beat us for in city talant (and yes I know there BCS and that matters). Would someone please explain to me then why we can't get we get these Kids. I have been accused of having an axe to grind with Tubbs yet someone explain to me why someone as an assistant could recruit the area, got backing by the high school coaches of the area to be hired, and yet hasn't got but one Dallas player, who happened to be an SMU legacy. Just give me an answer.

By the way, Wyoming is now 6-5 with an RPI of 202 which I thought was bad until I saw our RPI of 280 and the C-USA's Conference RPI of 19. When Dement was here our RPI was often below 100 and the WAC conference RPI currently is 9. Can someone still explain to me how yall can remain positive and say Tubbs is making progress?
