PAC was very overrated as well. Committee buys that "power conference" garbage that ESPN propagates.

The PAC and Big 12 teams had really poor defensive statistics heading into the tourney. The only PAC team I had making the sweet 16 was Cal, but I didn't know their PG was hurt and it was more about the teams they were playing. Kansas is the lone Big 12 team with a good defensive stat - they give up points, but have a really good FG% against, so they can get stops at the end of the game, which is necessary in the tourney.

Really, SEC 0. I love a good comeback, but it's not right that extreme scratching and clawing that is an immediate foul for 39 minutes suddenly becomes A-OK in the 40th.

Especially hurts when the best team in the conference doesn't get a shot

No sympathy. UNI pulled a Cannen. All they had to do was hold the ball in their arms and wait for a tie up instead of throw the ball away. Pretty awful under pressure.

To be clear, I agree with what you write. I don't have sympathy for UNI (who choked in multiple ways). It's more annoyance that the Aggies/SEC get a Sweet Sixteen (which doesn't happen without that last-minute-of-the-game unwritten rule change).

Just you wait - the performance of the AAC THIS year will be held against US next year if we are on the bubble.

Unfortunately, I agree. What happened in the past shouldn't affect the way a school or conference is viewed (talk to LB about our punishment) but unfortunately, it probably will

The AAC had a terrible 2015 NCAA W/L record, and that didn't hurt for 2016 bids. I'm more interested in who will be the new members rotating onto the selection committee. Always follow the money!
