Also, I read up on kapita when he committed and he is said to be an "athlete" meaning running the open floor is his strength. I am not automatically certain that he is a low post player according to scouting reports.

Have you seen tape of the guy? If so you would realize he is definitely a low post player.

gu helps a ton if he makes it back. Kid averaged 19 minutes per on a better team than this past seasons. solid defender, rebounds his position etc. mostly, adds more junkyard dog. We can use that post Nic, , especially when we'll need more O from Sterling.

Team will be stacked, but defining roles and developing chemistry will be different. Better defensively, certainly bigger and longer

Let's just hope Shake learned well from Nic because next year he will need to be the catalyst. Score when we need him to, control the game and make everyone else better. I want to see at least 4 starters average double figures...Shake, Ben, Sterling and Semi. If anybody else contributes significantly, next year's team could be really good.

Whenever you lose a two time conference player of the year, your leading rebounder, and a great interior passer the natural assumption is you take a step back. It's hard to say. QWe have a tougher schedule next year being in the 2K tournament and UCONN looks like they will be stacked. But other than UCONN doesn't it feel like we will widen our talent gap between us and the rest of the AAC?

Tulsa will definitely drop off. Cincy fans aren't too excited and most of Tulane's team is transferring

That's the way I see it.

We'll need some adjustment time but so will UCONN. They have a better recruiting class ON PAPER but, as Hoopman pointed out we don't choose our guys by the number of stars they earned in high school or how well they'll wave a towel when they get here.

I think both Cincy and Temple have some great underclassmen that form the foundation of solid teams. They'll never be easy wins. Tulsa is screwed. Memphis? Who knows who stays or goes and with Pastner they will always underperform (IMHO).

Houston will a yearly contender under Sampson.

As for the bottom 4 of the conference....I like where USF is headed and ECU seems stable at the very least. But I don't see any of those 4 being much...and Tulsa joins them unless Haith gets 3 or four transfers.

No I haven't seen any film of his post moves. Are they polished like Kennedy, more like Tolbert or not as good yet?

Kennedy was an interesting case in the post, cause he'd throw fakes at you, just wasn't a particularly skilled finisher over either shoulder.

I can dream :)

This is my revised starting 5 to start the season. Regardless of the starting 5 we will have depth and options. Shake, Sterling, Semi, Ben snd Bruno. A bench of Jarrey, D Mc, Wilson, Gu (still unknown), Froling and Kapita. A lot of options.

Haven't been following recruiting as religiously as I used to these days. Don't know why.. busy with real world things I guess.

But I never realized Ted Kapita signed - doesn't seem to be a thread of it on the Recruiting page. As I recall, we had some serious concerns about post players with the departures of MK and Tolbert. Froling and Kapita definitely address those issues, yeah? Who starts at Center?

Damn, next year will be fun as hell due to the quality of players and the depth. Will miss our 3 seniors though, but we reloading with some talent.

My lineup (I think it's pretty much the consensus on here):
PG: Shake Milton
SG: Sterling Brown
SF: Semi
PF: Ben Moore
C: Froling

This on paper is probably our best offensive lineup and would potentially be very strong defensively depending on how capable Froling is at handling meaty PF/C types.
