PROVIDENCE R.I. (SMU)— Alicia Froling was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll, the conference announced Monday. The junior posted her 20th career double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds, in SMU's home opener against Texas State.
The Queensland, Australia, native, was selected to the AAC preseason all-conference second team. Froling led The American with 328 rebounds last season, setting an SMU single-season record. She also recorded 42 blocked shots last year, helping SMU set a program record of 184.
The Mustangs play the next two games on the road, starting Wednesday at Kansas. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
