I didn't think Minnesota would be ranked at 18. #HammerDown
Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spotMaybe if they would have counted today's game...
Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spotstill mad at them from the NIT in NYC
Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spotby the way - if you switch Iowa state and SMU then we would be likely playing Purdue - which is not a good match up for us.
Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spotYou win this thing by winning games... not getting the highest seed.
Just numbers!! Party at The Wopper!

Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spot
That is in the second round. And I think Baylor is better than Purdue. But I wouldn't mind playing either because it would mean SMU would have won the first game. I am focused on the first game. Beat the Friars/Trojans. #HammerDown
Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spot
Focus on the first game. Tourney teams who don't shoot the three well enough or often enough eventually pay. That is what we found out against UCLA two years ago, and Baylor is going to learn that lesson this year.
Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spotBI agree. And Baylor probably learned that lesson last year when Yale beat them in the tournament.

Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spotI get the people that say you gotta win games and seeds don't matter but this is horsesht. Getting a 4-5 seed drastically increases your odds to go deep as your matchups are better each step of the way. Well always be the top of the seed line and never the last one who got overseeded.
Re: SMU missed a 5 seed by 1 spot
I personally think our matchups and location draw are great. Plenty of opportunity there. I definitely think we deserved a better seed, but this may work out well for us.
