Re: Emmanuel Bandoumel
<The Canadian plays all three guard positions > Wonder if Jank sees him as a point guard? Party at The Wopper!
Re: Emmanuel Bandoumel
I would guess Jank sees him as a utility player. I don't think Bandoumel is a plug and play starter at SMU at any spot (unless we don't sign another guard), but seems like a really good rotation piece who could play multiple positions as first guard off the bench.
Re: Emmanuel BandoumelI think he's got a great chance to start next year-he's a glue guy-contributes in all aspects of the game and reportedly the best defender on his team but also a great shooter. His team is loaded-the backups often score 40-50 points and the team often scores 100+ and sometimes 120+and they only lost to Top 5 Midland JC at a National Tournament. I've seen 2 of his games on the internet-he generally is not the PG though

Re: Emmanuel BandoumelBandoumel played another SMU JuCo target Taz Sherman the other night and both played well. Sherman's team won but Bandoumel may have gotten the upper hand in the 1 on 1 battle.
Bandoumel had 22 Points (5-13FG 3-6 3FG 9-10 FT) 2 assists 4 rebounds 2 steals. Taz Sherman had 28 Points (6-17FG 1-7 from 3FG 15-15FT) 6 rebounds 5 assist 1 steal 4 TOs. Sherman has shot 46% from 3 throughout the season. Bandoumel isn't a guy who puts up gaudy numbers, but seems to be a good all-around team player and is definitely a high-end athlete. Even though its JuCo it is good to see he has been shooting the ball well from deep this season as that was one of his weaknesses out of HS.
