Hopkins was #4 on the top 10 plays for the sweet block against UAB.

The Memphis fans enjoyed it with me. The game was out of hand already, but it put UAB in their place for a minute. The ball actually landed in the third row, which on that side of the arena was past 2 media tables and a walkway. It was very impressive. As a side note, Killen played very well and I think he'll do good things for us next year.

Figures, the DMN didn't even say a word about it.

Who really cares about a block? Should Bhop really be remembered for having a nice block during garbage time in a game that ended his career?

I have an idea! Let's win then people will pay attention to us. I am pretty sure I remember a few years ago the Sports Day front cover was a big article on Jerryl Sasser...Oh yea we were also a winning program at the time (well we underachieved but that is besides the point). Coincedence? I think not.

Why don't we complain to SMU about not putting a good product on the floor instead of the Dallas Morning News not reporting enough on a losing team. I guarantee next year when SMU makes a bowl game the DMN will be all over that story.

If we make a bowl game, the game will receive half the coverage of the Red River Shootout. Don't apologize for the injustice that BELO perpetrates upon us SMU fans.

In the end the Dallas Morning News is a business and it will report on what readers want to read. If you have been to many SMU games then you know that hardly anyone shows up, so obviously the majority of Dallas does not care about the status of SMU athletic teams. So, until SMU puts a good product on the floor, there will not be many fans or interest and DMN will not report on the game.

Press coverage is an element of marketing. If we got more press coverage in Dallas, game attendance and recruiting would immediately improve. The DMN is so consumed with covering the Red River Classic that SMU gets little coverage, and local folks don't even know when to go to Ford or Moody.

I disagree. If local folks actually wanted to go to games then they would make the effort to go online and figure out when a game starts or when it is.
