ESPN article says ORU has 3 players from the Dallas Area. More DFW talent taking other teams to the dance.

Come on all of you non thinkers and mind numbed robots. Start bashing White Helmet for reporting news that does not directly concern SMU, or will you finally be seen as merely petty posters who like to bash Stallion and Stallion only no matter what he says?

I'm not going to say anything negative about a team that has a nine hundred foot tall Jesus on their team.

Plus I don't think that I have ever seen White Helmet insult other posters for a failure to agree with his vision of SMUs athletic model. I don't particularly want to bash Stallion, I just want something constructive from him, namely...

What can I do as an individual fan to implement the solutions Stallion repeatedly calls for on this board?

When Stallion answers the question I will gladly stop harassing him.

Correct, Abe. Especially since one of the kids Spicer from SOC didnt even start in HS. Even if we would have signed him it would have been pandemonium over here.

Sylvester Spicer is a kid everyone should root for. The living conditions where he grew up shouldn't exist in America. Raised by a deaf grandmother, hungry half the time, a wardrobe that existed of 2 pairs of jeans and basketball practice jerseys and shoes from SOC. Polite, soft spoken, tireless worker, and an absolute beast under the boards. When we would go to summer tourneys, his eyes would light up when we went to all you can eat places. The restaurants always lost money on him. In regular restaurants, he would eat his food and then systematically clean everyone else's plates. If he can handle the course work, 3 meals a day and a weight program...... good lord I wouldn't want to have to face him on the court in a couple of years.............

I'm in no way saying the kid isnt someone we should root for. I too had heard stories of his up bringing. I am just saying that if he had signed here everyone would have had a fit about how he cant play he didnt even start in HS, yet when he is in the NCAA Tournament, its another Dallas kid that got away.

Playing behind Kevin Rogers and Shady is nothing to be embarrassed about. I getcha White Helmut, but my posting wasn't about his ability to play or for whom. This is a kid that so far has beaten odds most of us couldn't even conceive.

Oral Roberts is hanging around with Memphis, something SMU couldn't do.
