Re: Women’s Basketball Cancels Remainder of 2020-21 SeasonI think it tells you how difficult it is for the players to go through this season - isolated, not able to hang out with friends, attend events, probably forced to take all your classes remotely.
If you have a chance to have a good season, it is worth it. If you suck, it is easy to call it quits. We are seeing this happen on the women's side, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some really bad men's teams drop once it becomes apparent that they aren't going to compete for a conference title. From a university perspective, with the extra expenses involved to keep the players tested and safe, I bet the SMU administration is breathing a sigh of relief.
Re: Women’s Basketball Cancels Remainder of 2020-21 SeasonTrue. Even during the best of seasons, WBB must lose money.
Anyone know what Mays makes? There definitely are cheaper options who can match or hopefully exceed his 0-6 record.
