Why has SMU yet to release that Tubbs had tutors doing his players' homework and his players didn't show up to class? There's some real shadiness that goes beyond Burger King.

That's a helluva question. If those allegations were substantiated by SMU's investigation, why would they allow the idea that Max Williams got him fired for burgers and Cheer perpetuate?

sounds very unlike Tubbs, but lets have it, release it. I know the head of the LEC was a big proponent of Tubbs when he got hired.

Has this been substantiated at all? I get wary when a first time poster named "Dirty Pony" starts throwing accusations around that don't seem to be talked about anywhere else

I agree that it looks shady when a first time poster (now second time poster) puts something out there like this. But it's worth considering.

SMU hasn't confirmed this. And they paid off Tubbs contract. And athletes have blown off classes since SMU had athletics. That's why the Professors are such ninnies about allowing less than stellar students to play SMU athletics. Dirtypony is probably a professor who is jealous that he gets paid 1/12 the salary of Tubbs. And if Athletic department tutors were doing the work of athletes, then it falls not just on Tubbs but on the entire department including Copeland. Until I see something official this dog don't hunt.

Beyond which blowing off classes is essentially a campus wide activity not just focused on the basketball team. My proudest achievement at the time during undergraduate was being asked by my CS professor if I was even in the class when sitting for my final.

You're right about that "me". There are classes that to this day, I cannot recall what the professor looked like, or what was said in class although I was one of the few who did usually attend class, I found that going to class was easier than studying.

Substitute my job, supervisor, and work rather than classes, professor, and studying, and you just described my yesterday!!
