Williamson came alive in the 2nd half of the FSU game. Charleston Pony you know basketball. What is he doing differently/better? Can he keep it up against tougher matchups? He is the player on this team with whom I have been most disappointed since his transfer.
He's not the shooter he was before his injury but he's very athletic and contributes all over the court. The injury probably messed with his mechanics a bit and I do think his shooting troubles have affected his confidence. Much like hitting can be contagious for a baseball team, shooting can be the same in hoops and last night several of our guys were "feeling it". Was really fun to watch and if this team gets hot like that, they are capable of upsetting the top teams in the AAC this year but the more athletic the defense you are facing, the tougher it is to get good looks and get into a hot shooting streak. Williamson has been more aggressive the last 2 games and that's really encouraging. When he's contributing offensively like he did last night, this team just has too many scoring options for opposing defenses to smother. Williamson even made his 2 FTs last night which gets him above 50% for the season
