My criticisms of the Tubbs firing have been nothing if not coherent. BURGERS AND CHEER!!!!

And if they'd built Tubbs a practice facility he would have closed the deal on Arthur.

It is definitely time for you to close the door on your practice facility posts. It is going to happen so move on to your typical DMN rant.

there is too much in this thread for a latecomer to address, but I really dont understand why SMU wouldnt have just taken its medicine on announcing any violations at the time tubbs was canned. waiting is only going to compound the PR problem. The general public will not really correlate the tubbs dismissal with the news about rules violations now, too much time is passing.

I wish Doherty the best, i guess he was fine with it all and how it was going to be handled. He's the one that will have to overcome it.

I doubt that the general public is wringing their hands and sitting on the edge of their seat to hear why Tubbs was let go. Despite what you hear on this board, everyone has moved on.

The upside to operating in obscurity in Dallas is that very few people will remember or care why Tubbs is not on the bench next season. The buzz with the Doherty hiring put the dismissal on the back burner for good.

Yes, we will have to kiss a few butts in the DISD, but we have to do that anyway. Outside of this and a few on this board, do you really think people are sitting around waiting to hear why Tubbs was let go?

did you actually read what I wrote? the concern now is taking a second PR beating for violations when it could have been combined into one airing of the dirty laundry, if there is any. That will hurt Doherty, not Tubbs.
