Doherty is playing the hand he was dealt. I'm sure he appreciates Racks effort and height, and I think it is a good strategy to try and boost the teams confidence by telling them they are better players than the pre-season pics suggested. I'll give Rack a vote for most improved this year if he learns how to make a layup or any other move that puts the ball in the basket when he has the ball under the basket.

Rack is our best rebounder and has a smooth stroke from the outside for a 6'11 guy. In factwe ran a play specifically designed to get Rack an open look from 3 against FSU in crunch time, and guess what, he drained it. You don't run plays for guys in crunch time whom the coach merely appreciates their effort or talks them up. Rack has improved a ton and is one of the better players on this team.

I agree he is a good rebounder, but how can you say "he has improved a ton"? What is that based on?

There were a lot of times before this season that he looked a little lost out there. He's supposed to be smart as hell, so I'm not suggesting he didn't know the offense, just suggesting that maybe he wasn't used almost at all, and that he wasn't exactly infused with confidence. He looks much more confident, much more aggressive and much more like a guy who has the belief of his coaches.

Light it up tonight, Rack!

At the top of the poll, it says "MVP" and the title of the thread is "Two Words" -- how is "MVP" two words?
