Make that #9. They are not crediting us for the NAIA wins, rightfully so...
http://realtimerpi.com/ They have us at #49 in their power rankings... http://realtimerpi.com/ncaab/Men.html #NewLobCity
Unfortunately, our RPI will probably drop over the next 3 games win or lose because the week teams will drag down our SOS.
If we could keep playing NAIA teams we should be #1 in a couple of months and lock up a #1 seed in a bracket division ![]() Womack + Wishbone = Heisman
Class of 89
Ok, so what is making us ranked so high in RPI? Is there some dumb equation they use?
Sir, shooting-star, sir.
Frosh 2005 (TEN YEARS AGO!?!) The original Heavy Metal.
25% our winning pct 50% our opponents winning pct 25% their opponents winning pct They also do some adjustments based on home/road/neutral sites, but that is the basic formula. Dayton, FSU, and Illinois St. all have high winning pcts., and the NAIA games don't count, so we are over-inflated because we have played so few games.
