Basketball Recruit Question

It says on the website that "Doherty's inaugural recruiting class at SMU is ranked 25th by Hoop Scoop".

Is that ligit? Is Hoop Scoop a reliable source, how does it compare to rivals?

Look in past recruiting threads. It has been discussed at pretty good length on the recruiting forum. Apparently their rating of individual players is a little more reliable than the ratings of their entire class. We were rated a little higher than we should be based on having a pretty big class. But hey, number 25 in the country is number 25 in the country, even if it is from this one site only. Regardles of where different services might rank it, the SMU hoops class seems like one to be excited about.

if Doherty can put together 3-4 classes like this one (admittedly smaller in numbers in future years), we might just see a team capable of bringing some long lost fans back to Moody.
