i stopped caring about this particular team a while ago. im usually a huge supporter whether we're winnin or losin, but with this team : we score no points, no one player has ever stepped up big time (ie 20 points in one game), no one can hit shots, offense is extremely high school, and we never stand a chance against a quality opponent, etc. I like Doherty, he just needs some quality players in mustang uniforms next year

This is a team that has a serviceable power forward. An injured center with a serviceable back-up. No point guard. An injured 3. And several servicable two guards. No depth anywhere except at shooting guard. Given that, we knew this was going to be an ugly year and if there were any injuries, it would be a very ugly year. I predicted 12 wins and said that we'd be hard pressed to win more than 4 conference games at the outset. With Fall out and now Pearson, it will be a tough next few weeks. Chalk this season up as a test for the reputed kinder and gentler Doh.

Eaststang, I agree with everything that you said except about the shooting guard depth. we may have depth at the 2 guard, but we have no shooting guards. Let me re-say that, we have a lot of shooting guards just none that can make shots.

That's why I used the word "servicable" and we have more of them than other positions. I didn't say anything about them being great.

Unfortunately, this is getting pretty ugly. We can't afford to lose anyone to injuries - Roberts, Fall, and Pearson are pretty key to being competitive with the teams we have a chance against. Yes, what we are left with just can't get it done.
