.... Coach Doherty did his deal where he talks to Rich Phillips and Allen Stone on the JumboTron. He sang the praises of Paul Quinn, first, and then lauded the efforts of Ryan Harp and Papa Dia .... who "once he gets it" has talent comparable to two of his former players at Notre Dame and North Carolina: Troy Murphy and Sean May.

He was quick to point out that Dia has a looooong way to go to get to the level of Murphy and May, but if Dia's talent turns out to be anything comparable, I think most of us will be thrilled.

Sean May was an absolute beast. No way Papa is comparable. I wish he was, but not even close to the same type player. Papa has some talent and a decent touch thats for sure.

Didn't Doh say last season that he had a couple of guys could have started for him at NC? Those comments are really not necessary....what's wrong with just saying the kids are getting better?....that's all that needs to be said at this point

yeah, those comments worry me actually. What is he possibly thinking? He said that about ike if i am not mistaken. Does he think none of us have seen a basketball game before?

Well,

He said that about Ike specifically last year, that he could have started on his UNC team, and we all kind of scratched our heads...but then Ike went out and had a monster year above and beyond what any of us thought possible and showed he could start on most teams in the country......

So maybe Doh knows what he is talking about here.

Also, I heard the interview on the radio and thought it sounded like it was going through the PA...I always run out to the car after the game to hear the post game show...if this is a new tradition, I can now just stay and watch it live....nice touch....
