Besides the 13 games they have played so far, these guys are older and went to top prep schools that should have prepared them for at least the pitiful schedule we are playing. Just because these guys are freshman doesn't mean you shouldn't see some serious flashes that last more than a minute or two if they do really have "it". You really see Walker as the point guard of the future? I don't see the speed or smoothness. Rhodes wasn't able to get off of Doherty's bench hardly at all, and is now injured. Harp has a long way to go. Malone is closer. Dia is fairly effective, but he ain't 18 years old folks. We'll see what the upside is. I was disappointed last night, because I don't really see a spark or momentum building as we head into conference play. You know it when its there.

We haven't had momentum all season. I didn't think much of CU's freshmen. They were OK but nothing that made you go wow. I watched a game between two very marginal basketball teams who will finish in the second division of their respective conferences.

You know as well anybody else how hard it is to win on the road.

If u can't handle the rock, its hard to win anywhere.

I feel for Doh. There were several times last night u could see him bent over almost begging JK to take care of the ball. U could just see the agony on his face. He finishes his lecture & then JK goes right back onto the court & turns it over again.
I have seen @ least 5-10 HS pgs that could step right into our rotation & do a better job of handling the rock than our guards.
I just don't understand or accept it. It's almost impossible to be this poor of ball handlers & get a ride to a D1 basketball program.

The rest of the year I suggest that every practice be divided into improving ball skills & shooting. 2 of the most fundamental, basic BB skills developed by most @ a very early age.

Again, I don't have high expectations for this team but I do expect to see a team that is well coached & that can handle the ball & can shoot a decent fg%.
I don't think that's asking to much.

I expect will we see improvement in these areasas the season progesses into conference.
