I guess it's safe to say that nobody saw this coming...except maybe Doherty. He made no apologies for the non-conference schedule and promised it would be a lot tougher than most people thought. I will confess I probably would have predicted better results in the non-conference and close to a .500 overall. I've just about given up on predicting SMU's teams these days
