ENTRY 2 - MAR. 21, 2008
Well, we are in West Lafayette, where we'll play Notre Dame Sunday at Purdue University's Mackey Arena! We left Moody at 7:45 a .m. and hoped the probable snow in Indiana wasn't going to delay our departure -- it didn't.
So, I'm walking on to the plane Friday morning with "Red" (Brittani Allen), who I sit next to every flight, and we see our seats, way in the back and directly in front of a young couple and two screaming infants. I held my breath and took my seat with my eyes wide open while I heard my teammates and coaches laughing at me from afar. To make a long story short, I still have a ringing sensation in my head from this babies' piercing outcries. I thought I wanted kids......
The bus ride from the airport to West Lafayette was about an hour and 15 minutes. When we got in we immediately watched film, got taped, and then went to practice at a local high school. We practiced for the Irish, and finished the day by going to Outback Steakhouse for some good dinner before hitting the sheets. Saturday includes an open practice session in Mackey Arena and a press conference. I'll send an update afterward. It is getting closer and closer to game time.....
