I believe they leave either Sunday or Monday, but the South Africa portion comes after Senegal. So they'll probably be in Johannesburg the following weekend.

The foreigners they are fighting are from neighboring countries that are taking jobs and the fighting is only in the slums.

i traveled there on a regular basis for business. It's totally safe in the Rosebank/Sandton areas of Jo'burg - you just don't venture downtown after dark.
