Ponies practice in Senegal

The guys face Senegal's national team Tuesday.

The more I read, the more jealous I am ... but more than that, the more happy I am for this team.

Check out the picture gallery. A lot of them are really fuzzy, but still, there's some scenery there that none of us will get to see in person, and it's indicative of what a great experience this is for the Mustangs. Looks like a fascinating trip.

Glad to see the outgoing seniors made the trip — you can see Killen and Roberts in the photo gallery.

Hopefully, they'll take along a history or anthropology professor and get some academic credit for the trip as well. Do the tours, listen to the lecture, take notes, write a paper.

I'm drawing a conclusion here but with no Cameron Spencer or Bennie Rhodes on this list, it would appear those are the two that are no longer with the team.

Hope they stay safe and have a good time over there.

Apparently because their eligibility is used up, Killen and Roberts can't play in games. But it's a great thing that they're allowed to make the trip, nonetheless.

I hear they are getting 6 hours credit. They did some class time here before they left.

Couldn't hurt the team GPA if they all pick up A's and B's.

We didn't handle the ball very well and we took too many ill advised shots.

Imagine our ball handling without Killen, D-Rob, or any of our incoming recruits(Williams, McCoy, Dubois). That leaves only Harp and Walker as our two scholarship guards for this trip. I guess that would leave Malone as our third ball handling option among scholarship players. Eeeek!

exactly what i was thinking, what a cluster trying to handle the ball. At the same time, I'm really excited about these guys seeing a little bit of Africa. Been there. It's amazing & it will change your perspective on life. It ought to be required of all smu students
