Basically, he's going to pursue "other basketball projects" whatever that means. Clark Kellogg will move from the studio to work with Jim Nantz.

I didn't dislike Packer. I didn't like him either. But I do like Kellogg. I never thought he was utilized properly. Very good analyst when he's calling a game.

I'm not much of a Billy Packer fan, but he was the voice of the Final Four. I dont know what other projects there could be, but if college bb is his thing, there's not a much bigger stage than what he already had

I believe that he will begin to call games on ESPN and hopefully team up with Dickie V and Dan Shulman for the huge primetime games

Packed and Vitale in the same arena? Are you trying to make a building implode?

I knew I would get replies to that extent. I would want to see them together just to see the sheer madness of two guys who love to be loud and scream nonsense. Could make for an entertaining brodcast.

This is great news. I can't count how many times he put his foot in his mouth. He thought he knew everything!!

The nail in the coffin was last year in the tourney when Kansas jumped out to that huge lead in the first half against UNC and he declared the game over, no need to play the second half...much to the chagrin of CBS and all the high dollar sponsors.

Then, he looked like a real idiot when UNC almost came back and won in the second half.
