XTC will correct me, but I think the bottom line was grades and he transferred to a JC. There may have been some other issues between he and Coach but I think in the end it was not going to class and or failing.

"Think" he could or "thought" he could since he is no longer on the team?

When the season finished, Spring Break was under way, and Bennie never came back from vacation. He'd only been here for a semester and a half, and that's a bit early to be in deep grade trouble. I know that someone on this board was claiming that grades were the reason he wasnt playing last year, but I consider that individual to be a pathological liar, and it's impossible to become academically ineligible that early, unless you drop under 12 hours enrolled. If that were the case, he wouldnt be allowed to practice, either, and he was clearly still practicing and traveling with the team. His grades for second semester would have all been Incompletes or Drops. The last I heard, he was going to attend a junior college in California.

Sorry if I have added to misinformation. I was not my intent. He is gone however. Thanks for the clarification XTC.
