For the MINIMUM? There was talk in the offseason that he'd get mid-level exception money.

What's the minimum for a fifth-year veteran?

A minimum, non guarantee. I might consider a new agent.

NBAer signing with the Grizzlies=college FB coach hiring on with SMU
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

I'm guessing that the Griz are paying him to chaperone his cousin around this season.

Any talk of him getting a full mid level exception was peoposed by exactly no one other than posters on this board I would guess. Looking at comparable players I thought Azabuke's 3 year 9mill deal could be the high-end of what Q could hope for. Even I am shocked he wasn't able to pull a 2 year deal.

No way man. The Mavs have DEAVON GEORGE!!!!!

I am surprised a contender was not interested in Q's services. I really think his agent played Q's hand poorly. Role players need to sign deals early in the free agent process if possible. They often end up getting above market value.

Good call - hadn't thought of that.
Arthur and O.J. Mayo might both learn something from the guy.

According to that list, he's going to make $895,341 this year. Not the mid-level exception some of us were hoping for, but he can pay the rent.

Or he could always live with cousin Darrell.

Hopefully neither one lives in Arkansas or there could be other issues we would need to consider.

Speaking thereof...Boston Legal was pretty good tonight. They give all the political folks grief, but tonight they were referring to "Billy Bob Clinton." I loved it...strictly from a comedy perspective of course.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Q started for the first time last night in a loss to Miami - he has averaged around 10 pts a game in the pre-season.

The Grizz were smart and decided to keep Q for the regular season. I have no doubt he'll be a great contributor, especially with all the youth on that team.

But hey, I can't wait to see oft injured Devean George in street clothes collecting his $2 million from the Mavs!
