Watched the Loyola Marymount vs. Notre Dame game last night. Jared Dubois started and played 38 minutes. I was very impressed with him. Was a little wild at times but was nailing 3 pointers from all over the place. He finished with 16 points on 5-17 shooting. Was 4-6 from 3's.

He is going to be a very good player. Wish we had him at SMU.

yes but once mrydel pronounces that "we didn't want him anyway"-the decision is FINAL.

(I think things are going to work out fine for all involved. With McCoy and Williams stepping up we can better use the scholarship at other positions)

I've seen him play twice this season & he's for real. I'm not sure if it was Lance Irvin or Doh who recruited him but they were right on the mark going after this kid.

Smooth left hander who can handle, create & get the ball to the hole & finish. Shot selection is questionable @ times but because he is one of the top 2 players on their team it appears their coach has no problem with him jackin it up.

Even though he didn't honor his SMU commitment, this still was a kid we did "get" and I think it shows that Doh is going to be successful recruiting. Can't blame the guy for leaving with all the PGs we had in the stable. Hope he continues to do well and I am very happy with having McCoy.

Wasn't it the late signing of McCoy that triggered his change of heart? Might be a good player, but it sure looked like he didn't want to have to compete with McCoy for playing time. Might have been a smart move on his part.

I would pick McCoy over Dubois anyway.

Its just a shame it didn't work out. I could see McCoy & Dubois co-existing in the same backcourt.
Anyway, it ain't gonna happen but that would have been a dynamic backcourt for 4 years.
BTW, I have been very impressed with Williams. Hopefully Walker will continue his to improve his ball handling & we won't have a big drop off
when McCoy or Williams have to take a seat.
