Rhonda not real fired up on the post game show but Ws in conference play are Ws. Sounded like Day played really well.

Oh, and by the way Ray Canterbury, do you think it's possible for you to give the score as soon as time runs out so for those who just tuned in might actually know?

My god, he's fumbling for his postgame stuff and goes about 30 seconds after the game ends before Rhonda comes on before he actually gives SMU 59, Tulane 56.

Step 1 in broadcasting -- give the score of the game as much as possible. That's why people tune in. There doesn't have to be a long drawn out pause. Ridiculous.

Good luck in El Crapo, Ladies.

Only 56% from the free throw line - gotta do better than that. Still, I'll take the win.

Moral of the story from the last two nights:

Rhonda's team finds a way to win.
Matt's team finds a way to lose.

I swear this team wants me to die of a heart attack, once again they made the game a little too interesting at the end. Why cant we have a good old-fashioned blowout, now and then?

Should also mention that the 6-way tie for first is now down to 5 as Southern Miss beat Houston, in Hattiesburg, tonight.

I'm certainly not going to badmouth Coach Doherty or his team, especially after a heartbreaker like they had last night and because I wasn't there to see it. But you are absolutely right about Coach Rompola's team - found a way to win tonight. Neither team played well tonight, but we scrapped and clawed and fought. There were more mental errors - errant passes, silly turnovers, shots that missed by miles rather than inches - than I've seen in a long time, but the fact is we won. I was sitting next to some Tulane football players who kept saying things about "how come we can never beat SMU?" Apparently they don't remember that their women's basketball team got us in the finale last year. Whatever - doesn't matter.

What matters is that we won. Day was driving force behind the win - she had some big 3s, including a couple when Tulane was making a mini-run. The coaches were working the sideline, too - players who needed reminders, blind referees, etc. If anything, the coaches were the MVPs tonight, because they guided a team that I gather was having a real off-night to a conference win on the road. Kudos, coaches.

I need another hurricane.

Unfortunately those come far too often for us!
