Well said & I agree 100%. Should have honored Bamba @ halftime.

We have always honored the seniors before the game and so does every other team I have ever seen or heard of. It would be great to do it at halftime, but I am pretty sure the reason is that in the middle of the game the players need to be in the locker room preparing for the second half, not having an emotional cermony with their parents while their teamates and coaches look on. Unlike pregame (where you have had a couple days to prepare for your opponent) the team has only a few minutes to prepare for the second half, as well as rest for a few minutes.

WTF is wrong with him?

If you'd been paying attention, you might have noticed that USM plays a quick, small, guard centric team. We can't play 2 post players at the same time against such a lineup, and Bamba and Faye were playing well, so Papa only subbed in to rest those two. He actually played pretty well when he was in the game, he just didn't get a lot of offensive looks.

It would be monumentally stupid of us to pull out a player from the locker room in the middle of the darn game to honor him -- harmful to him, and harmful to the team. EVERY school honors their seniors BEFORE their last home game -- you can't blame Orsini for this. Blame the fans for not showing up 15 minutes early to honor their senior.

As you can see above, I agree 100% with you. Funny thing is, had we done it at halftime, which would be shocking really, the board would be ablaze with people talking about how Doherty is all about PR over substance/game prep.

Why not after the game like the FB does?

My mistake, I got it confused with the presentations June Jones did after the game for the seniors.

I am usually too depressed to hang around much after the games.
