Memphis adds Frech forward to Class of 2009...
By Van Coleman [email protected]

Josh Pastner and his Memphis staff have gone overseas to add a quality frontcourt talent in 6-8 Martin Ngaloro...

According to a source close to the program and confirmed by the Commercial Appeal, the Memphis Tigers have signed a mature and talented combo forward in 6-8 French import Martin Ngaloro.

"I'd like to come here," Ngaloro told the Commercial Appeal. "I already signed the papers, so it should be OK. I think that it's the right place to be."

Ngaloro played in Spain at the Canarias Basketball Academy last year, but is originally from Grenoble, France and will play for the French 20 & Under team this summer.

Ngaloro has a game similar to curremt Tiger Wesley Witherspoon, he can knock down perimeer jumper and can flat out finish off the dribble in the paint. He has wing man skills, but the size at 220-plus pounds to go inside and score on the blocks in C-USA.

He joins 6-9 junior college big man Will Coleman and 6-8 power forward Latavious Williams in the Memphis Class of 2009.

They just added the Barton brothers today. Will Barton is Top 5 type player in '10, and his brother is a legit high major PG. Only a 3 star, but should be a 5. Look for Pastner to get Joe Jackson, a 5 star PG from Memphis as well.

In short, they may struggle more then usual next year, but its back to dominance the year after. Step up your game, CUSA
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Can colleges trade players? Maybe we can make a trade with them for some 5/5 guys and some players to be named later.
