New Hoops recruitWhat has anyone else heard about Donatas Rackauskas. I know he is from Lithuania and is 6'10, 215-225. What else has anyone else heard about this guy? Did he play in the Global Games last year? ESPN has him the 18th best recruit for centers. Is he that good. I have heard that he might not be as good as people are letting on. I hope I am wrong though. Fill me in.
Viva Ponyball!!!!!
Re: New Hoops recruitThe Morning Snooze said he's 235. From what I've read, he shoots well - has decent range, or so I gather - but isn't very strong. The Low Post Lithuanian will need to add a lot of weight and strength to bang around under the boards.
Re: New Hoops recruitRambo -- who told you he is not that good? Have they seen him play?
Pony Tales -- he is NOT a low post player. Think about Dirk and you will be closer. He is very skilled right now but just needs to learn more about the college game and get stronger!
Re: New Hoops recruitI had just heard that he might not be as good as some people think he is. The ESPN web site has him listed as a center. Here's the link. He's number 18.

Re: New Hoops recruitthis commitment makes the loss of Kane (#16) to Minnesota a little easier to take. I haven't seen "The Rack" play, but I generally like the euros because they grow up playing "football" (aka soccer) and usually have better footwork than American giants. Let's hope so. Looks like a good recruiting class to compliment a nice group of retrurnees.
Re: New Hoops recruit"The Rack"? Nice!
I hear he's got 3-point range, which is great in a big guy.
