Women win first round game!Final score 60 to 49.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Women win first round game!Nevada. Their next game will be against the number 1 seed La Tech tomorrow at Noon. SMU was the number 7 seed and Nevada was the number 10 seed. It will take a miracle to advance past tomorrow's game...La Tech has won 24 straight games.

Re: Women win first round game!#7 SMU's win over #10 Nevada has us playing #2 Rice at 12:00 on Wed. #1 LA Tech will play the winner of the #9 UTEP v. #8 Boise game currently in progress. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
Re: Women win first round game!according to the tournament page on wac.org, we do indeed play Rice tomorrow, I hope that we play like we did when we beat them at home.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
Re: Women win first round game!Evidently you guys are correct, we will be playing Rice...perhaps a little better situation. When I looked up the brackets for the tournament, it had the winner of Game 1 playing the number one seed tomorrow, and we were playing in Game 1 at noon today...I didn't notice that the seeding they were showing for Game 1 (8 & 9) didn't match the actual seedings of Game 1 namely 7 & 10. Therefore I blame the screw up on the incorrect brackets chart posted on the WAC site...sorry guys.
