Yea, this team is fairly soft physically, like most SMU teams in recent history, but they do generally give the effort in my book. Ok State was probably an exception in the second half and yes it was dismal. But PG makes a good point. BHop made 7 or 8 assist worthy plays last night easily. In several cases the guys failed to finish or got fouled on the play. The box scores don't tell you everything, nor does one tv game at Okie State.

I agree and wish I could see more often. Box scores do tell a lot though. Announcers tell a lot about players diving for balls etc. I just don't hear that about the Ponies on very many games I listen to. What was so telling about the OK St game was the fact that they laid down. Top clubs don't ever lay down. They have bad nights and get beat-sometimes badly- but they don't quit. The Ponies flat out quit against OK St. I hope that is something we never see again from an SMU team.

Let's move on from the OSU game. Yes, it was awful in every aspect but we're now in conference play and won't play another team as good as them again. If we've learned one thing from that game and all the others is that this team literally plays one game at a time. You never know what you're going to get. I'll be surprised if we win either game this weekend but I wouldn't put it past them either.
