Well guys, here is the update. I went to the game from San Francisco. I was pumped and ready for a great game. I had never been to the campus before and I was surprised at how many people made the game, considering school was not in session, but then again, the university is the only show in town.
Well let me just say, we got our a**es kicked. Outhustled, outperformed, out "you name it, it happened!"
Kirk Snyder scored a career-high 33 points and Nick Fazekas added 20 of his career-best 22 in the second half. What sucks is Fazekas runs like a woman and he killed us. Wait till they visit Dallas, you will see. You will be shocked.
As for Snyder, he killed us. He shot when he wanted and we couldn't stop him. It started with the first shot of the game when he was wide open and drained a three, then his next shot, a long 2, he drained and was wide open. But...
BHop was great but he was the only one. Castro didn't jump higher than 2 inches the whole night. He didn't do anything. No one else didn't anything noteworthy.
But the DAGGER of the night came with the smallest guy on the court. 6'0", 150 pound guard Todd Okeson. This little guy had 4 points, which came off 2 dunks that got the crowd going nuts. He had 2 or 3 half court ally oops and also a Globe Trodder-esqe behind the back pass to one of his teammates for a thunderous jam. He also had numerous "running out of bounds to throw the ball off one of our guys legs" plays that also got the crowd going. He also kicked a**. It was embarassing.
