Bob Knight strikes again

Postby PG » Mon Feb 02, 2004 5:53 pm

Just heard on the Ticket that Knight had a public blowup with Tech's Chancellor today (not many details revealed yet). Funny how that happens during a 2 game losing streak. He hasn't had much to whine about since we beat them so I guess he was due.

It happened at the Salad Bar of a local grocery store...I guess Bobby sneezed into the ceasar dressing or something?

Actually, I think the higher-ups at Tech should meet to discuss the future of chancellor David Smith. When Tech had a 2-loss season with James Dickey as coach, they had nowhere near the attention they are getting now. I have a reputation of running a 'tight ship' just as Coach Knight does, and if one of my colleagues or partners were to come up to me and commend me for good behavior, I'd have to question their motivation...why not just say hey thanks for the hard work and we appreciate all you're doing.

Speaking of which, he made a cameo appearance in the movie Anger Management. He was in the wrong group session (he thought he was in sexaholics class), and when informed of that fact started tearing the place apart.

He's just an arrogant bully and always has been. IU made the right choice. TT got a pr%ck. I hope SMU would never stoop to hire such a [deleted] EVEN if it meant winning. The guy is an embarrassment to everyone he reputes to represent. Think the TT Pres is wondering about his decision today?

It is funny, because with the exception of the "anger issues", Bob Knight is every school's dream coach. The team wins and have high graduation rates. If you passed his resume to the faculty at SMU without the name, they'd be fawning allover this guy. Of course, that assumes the faculty are even aware we have a basketball team.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
